Bringing higher education closer to home for North East Victorians
22 Sep 2021
Residents of Corryong, Mansfield and Wangaratta are encouraged to join a meeting next week to learn more about three new higher education learning centres opening to local students next year. Country Universities Centre (CUC) Ovens Murray is establishing dedicated learning spaces in Corryong, Mansfield and Wangaratta to provide support and resources to any student studying at any Australian university.
CUC Ovens Murray will hold an information night and AGM on Thursday 30th September to elect a new Board and provide information to the community about how the centres will support locals studying for a degree.
“Regional students deserve quality opportunities to pursue their dreams of higher education without having to relocate,” CUC Ovens Murray chair John Joyce said.
“Our centres will provide free access to high speed internet, a quiet study space, academic support as well as the opportunity to connect with a network of like-minded students.”
“The AGM is a great opportunity to find out how you can be involved, whether you’re a prospective board member, or a student who’d like to attend one of our centres when they open for Semester 1 next year.”
